Your guide to zentu*nix open space
Because it's always nice to share extra space.
Free space? There's a catch, right?
There is no catch, just a couple of warnings and a short disclaimer.
Disclaimer? What's that?
We are not responsible for any material uploaded to the open space directory; image files, specifically, might be removed at any time via editorial discretion. We do not guarantee the preservation or moderation of images uploaded to this directory.
OK. What about the warnings?
Try to keep it wholesome. We acknowledge that it is not possible to prevent people from violating this request, but be forewarned that content, specifically images, may be removed at any time and for any reason, from the open space directory. If you have a variety of sensitive data that needs protected or encrypted in its own directory, please consider other options.
What about copyrights and legal stuff?
We do not claim ownership of any particular files in this directory, unless specifically stated, as with this page and its accompanying source code.
If, for example, you are an original artist of an original work, you maintain full copyright and preserve ownership of your work. Think about it like we are the friendly hosting company sharing our extra space with you and letting people like you display your artistry on the world-wide web. You are free to license your work and / or to sell or license your work as you wish; for example, many people like to use a creative commons license regarding rights for distribution of their work. When linking from offsite to images or files hosted on this site, you must, by default, include the path to the directory where the file is hosted. This path will always include
http://www.zentu.net/open-space/
before the name of the file you've uploaded to our site.
Cool! What kinds of things can I upload?
Just about any kind you want. Really; try it! Pictures, webpages with links, spreadsheets, text documents, files, scripts, code, and all of the overlap in between have worked. If you need more of a "hint," the following is not a comprehensive list of all the options, but it does list quite a few that correspond to the above digital media types.
